What You’ll Be Doing
As Payroll Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the ICEpay division. From payroll coordination and compliance to client care and reporting, you’ll help ensure our payroll services run like clockwork. Here’s what the role includes:
Payroll Operations
- Prepare and coordinate payrolls for timely, accurate processing
- Support integration of new payrolls from acquisitions
- Conduct data audits and troubleshoot interface errors
- Upload tax and social insurance information
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and documentation standards
Client & Team Engagement
- Manage queries from clients and temporary workers
- Build and nurture strong client relationships
- Identify opportunities to grow business within existing accounts
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and continuous improvement
Reporting & Self-Management
- Produce weekly/monthly reports to track KPIs
- Evaluate processes and recommend improvements
- Set and meet personal performance targets
- Adhere to financial procedures for secure, accurate record-keeping
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in a payroll or similar role
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of payroll systems and tax regulations
- Qualifications: Professional certification in Payroll or equivalent experience
- Skills:
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll systems (e.g., Micropay)
- Ability to problem-solve and make data-informed decisions
- A team player who can also work independently
