The Role:
As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll lead and support the Payroll team by setting targets, monitoring progress, and ensuring all payroll activities run smoothly and in line with internal policies. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our clients receive accurate and timely payroll services, while also inspiring and guiding the team with a clear sense of purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the payroll team
- Set, monitor, and review team and individual objectives
- Ensure all payroll processes are compliant and completed to deadline
- Liaise with clients and address payroll queries professionally
- Provide guidance and leadership to team members
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure service excellence
- Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory changes
What We’re Looking For:
Knowledge & Qualifications:
- Professional qualification in Payroll or equivalent experience
- In-depth understanding of Irish payroll legislation and best practices
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in payroll systems, especially Micropay
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and organisational abilities
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to inspire, lead, and influence others
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar payroll position
